MathsFest started in Cork in 2010 in response to a quest for information and knowledge by teachers in light of the new Project Maths Course. Under the helm of Director Edward Williamson and Deputy Directors Brendan O’Sullivan and Mary Sheahan, MathsFest continued in Cork in 2011 and 2012 where approx 500 educationalists attended the conference in UCC, travelling from all corners of Ireland and further afield. The international and national selection of speakers was very impressive and the day was hailed a roaring success.

MathsFest moved to a new home for the following 2 years under the direction of Natalie Noone and national IMTA and then went into hibernation until 2017 when it returns back to Cork under the helm of the Cork Branch and the same team who brought us the original MathsFests.
